Koen studied theatre at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and made his debut in 1988 in Anton Chekhovs critically acclaimed The Seagull by De Blauwe Maandag Company, under the direction of Luk Perceval. He has been playing with several compagnies throughout the years, and toured Belgium, Holland and France, performing in French as well as Dutch, his mother language. Koen also starred in a bunch of musicals, playing Frank n Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, King Arthur in Spamalot and Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music. On screen he is best known for his characters in Aspe, Salamander and The13 Commandments, a thriller series on Netflix.
